How do you measure the bore?

Check it before deciding. A clutch hose is the same age as the cylinders and swells internally with age, which can act as a one-way valve — the clutch releases but is slow to re-engage. Why does the ratio between master and slave bore matter?

The two bores together decide how far the fork moves and how heavy the pedal feels, and they are a matched pair. Measure both bores and keep the original pairing.
