When should bar bushings be sold with the links?

Is an alignment needed after a link replacement?

Usually yes on a vehicle over a few years old, because both wear from the same movement and the bar has to be dropped to reach the bushes anyway. Is an alignment needed after changing links?

No. A stabilizer link sets no alignment angle — it only resists body roll, so toe, camber and caster are untouched by the job.
