Many vehicles have a stabilizer bar at the front and another at the rear, and the links are different lengths and different parts. Front and rear links are never interchangeable, so confirm which axle you need before ordering — the noise you are chasing tells you which end to look at.

Drive slowly over a rough surface with the windows down and listen to where the rattle sits relative to your seat. A front link rattles ahead of you; a rear link rattles behind. If the noise changes when only one front wheel crosses a bump, that narrows it to a side as well as an end. Usually a little easier to reach, because there is no steering linkage in the way, but the part price is similar. The bigger factor on either axle is whether the joint has seized into its mounting — a link that has been in place for years often needs cutting off, which adds labour regardless of which end it sits on.
