Control Arm အခြေခံ အကြောင်း
A control arm is the hinged link that connects the wheel hub to the body of the vehicle. A control arm holds the wheel in the correct position while allowing it to move up and down over bumps, and it carries the loads from braking and cornering into the vehicle structure. Most control arms carry a ball joint at the outer end and rubber bushings at the inner end.

What does a control arm actually do?

A control arm fixes where the wheel sits relative to the vehicle while still letting the wheel travel vertically. The inner end pivots on bushings bolted to the vehicle structure; the outer end holds the wheel hub through a ball joint. Because the control arm sets that geometry, a bent or worn control arm changes the wheel alignment and the vehicle's handling.

What is a wishbone, and is it the same thing?

Yes. A wishbone is a control arm shaped like the letter A or the letter V, with two inner mounting points and one outer. The name describes the shape rather than a different function. A vehicle with double wishbone front suspension has two such arms at each front wheel, an upper and a lower.

Which parts of a control arm wear out?

The arm itself is a steel or aluminium casting and rarely wears; what wears are the parts attached to it. The rubber bushings at the inner end perish and crack with age and heat. The ball joint at the outer end develops free play once its rubber boot splits. This is why the usual question is not whether the arm is worn, but whether to replace the bushings, the ball joint, or the complete arm.
