Shock Absorber အခြေခံ အကြောင်း
A shock absorber controls the movement of the spring; a shock absorber does not carry the weight of the vehicle. The spring holds the vehicle up, and the shock absorber stops that spring from bouncing repeatedly after every bump, which is what keeps the tyre pressed against the road.
Shock Absorber သည် ကားအလေးချိန်ကို မထမ်းဘဲ Spring ၏ ရွေ့လျားမှုကို ထိန်းချုပ်ပေးပါသည်။ ကားကို Spring က မြှောက်ထားပြီး Shock Absorber က Spring ခုန်ခြင်းကို ရပ်တန့်စေကာ ဘီးကို လမ်းမျက်နှာပြင်နှင့် ကပ်နေစေပါသည်။
What does a shock absorber actually do?

A shock absorber converts the up-and-down motion of the suspension into heat, and releases that heat into the air. Inside the shock absorber, a piston is forced through oil; the oil can only pass through small valves, and that resistance is what damps the movement. Without a working shock absorber the spring keeps oscillating and the tyre lifts clear of the road surface between bounces.

If the spring holds the car up, why does a worn shock absorber matter?

Because braking and steering both depend on the tyre staying in contact with the road. A worn shock absorber lets the tyre skip, and a skipping tyre cannot brake or steer during the moments it is airborne. This is why a vehicle with worn shock absorbers takes longer to stop even when the brakes themselves are new.

How many shock absorbers does a vehicle have?

Four on almost every passenger vehicle — one at each wheel. Front and rear shock absorbers are different parts with different valving and different mountings, and on many vehicles the left and right units also differ. Some commercial vehicles carry additional dampers on the rear axle.
