Air Filter ၏ လုပ်ဆောင်ချက်နှင့် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင် အထူးအရေးကြီးခြင်း
An air filter cleans every cubic metre of air the engine breathes before it reaches the cylinders. An engine draws in thousands of times more air than fuel, so unfiltered dust reaches the piston rings and cylinder walls faster than any other contaminant. In Myanmar's dust and dry-season conditions an air filter blocks considerably faster than the service interval printed in a handbook written for European roads.
Air Filter သည် အင်ဂျင်ရှူသွင်းသော လေတိုင်းကို Cylinder သို့ မရောက်မီ သန့်စင်ပေးပါသည်။ အင်ဂျင်သည် လောင်စာထက် လေကို ထောင်ပေါင်းများစွာ ပိုမို ရှူသွင်းသဖြင့် မစစ်ထားသော ဖုန်မှုန့်သည် Piston Ring နှင့် Cylinder နံရံများသို့ အမြန်ဆုံး ရောက်ရှိပါသည်။ မြန်မာ့ ဖုန်ထူသော အခြေအနေတွင် ဥရောပလမ်းများအတွက် ရေးထားသော ကာလထက် များစွာ ပိုမြန်စွာ ပိတ်ဆို့ပါသည်။
What does the air filter protect?
Air Filter က ဘာကို ကာကွယ်ပေးလဲ
The cylinder bores, the piston rings and the valve seats above all. Dust that reaches the combustion chamber is abrasive and works directly on the surfaces that seal compression, and once those are worn the engine loses power and starts burning oil. The air filter also protects the mass airflow sensor on modern engines, which is an expensive part to replace when it is fouled.

Why does it matter more here than elsewhere?

Because the filter's life is set by how much dust it swallows, not by how far you drive. Unsealed roads, dry-season dust, construction work and heavy traffic all raise the dust load in the air enormously. A filter rated for a service interval on clean roads can be substantially blocked long before that distance is reached here — which is why checking it is more useful than counting kilometres.

What does a blocked air filter cost me?

Fuel first. A restricted filter makes the engine work harder to breathe, so it burns more fuel for the same journey, and the loss builds quietly over months. Power and throttle response drop too. In the worst case a filter so blocked that it collapses or splits lets unfiltered air straight into the engine, which is more damaging than having no filter at all.
