CTR steering part numbers follow the same pattern as the rest of the CTR range: two letters for the type of part, then one or two letters for the vehicle make, then a serial number. For steering linkage the type codes are CR for a rack end and CA for an idler arm, alongside CE for a tie rod end.

- CR — rack end. For example CRT-122, CRS-19, CRMZ-52.
- CA — idler arm. For example CAT-44, CAM-15.
- CE — tie rod end. For example CEHO-17, CEMZ-63.
- CB — ball joint, and CQ — control arm, for the suspension side.

What do the letters after the type code mean?

They indicate the vehicle make the part was catalogued under, and the same codes apply across every part type. In the steering range you will see CRT and CAT for Toyota, CRS for Suzuki, CRM and CAM for Mitsubishi, and CRMZ for Mazda. Use the make letters as a quick filter, then confirm the Original Equipment (OE) number against your own vehicle before ordering.

555 uses SR for rack ends, for example SR-3810 and SR-3811, alongside SE for tie rod ends and SB for ball joints.
