Cabin Filter တည်နေရာနှင့် ကိုယ်တိုင် လဲနိုင်ခြင်း
On most vehicles the cabin filter sits behind the glovebox, and changing it is one of the few service jobs an owner can do without tools. The glovebox is released, the filter housing cover comes off, the old filter slides out and the new one slides in the same way round.

Where exactly is it?

Behind the glovebox on most vehicles. On some it sits under the bonnet at the base of the windscreen, in the same area where the ventilation air is drawn in, and on a few it is beneath the dashboard on the passenger side. If you cannot find it, the vehicle handbook shows the location — and if your vehicle turns out not to have one at all, which is true of some older and basic models, our parts team can confirm that.

What should I be careful about?

Four things.
လေးချက် ရှိပါသည်။
- Airflow direction — most filters have an arrow printed on the frame showing which way the air flows. Fitting it backwards reduces its effectiveness.
- Clean the housing — remove leaves and debris from the empty housing before the new filter goes in, or they will be sitting against it immediately.
- Seat it fully — a filter not pushed fully home leaves a gap that unfiltered air flows through, which defeats the purpose.
- Note the code — write down or photograph the code on the old filter before discarding it, so reordering next time takes seconds.

Should I have a workshop do it instead?

Only if the filter is not behind the glovebox on your vehicle, or if the glovebox release is stiff and you would rather not force it. Where it is the standard glovebox location, an owner can do it in a few minutes and a workshop will usually charge more in labour than the filter costs. Ask us which location applies to your model before deciding.
