It is often cast or stamped onto the outer face of the drum itself, and it appears in the vehicle handbook. If neither is available, measure the internal diameter of the drum with a tape or vernier, or send us your VIN and we will look it up.

Usually yes. Drum brakes rely on return springs, hold-down pins and an adjuster, and these fatigue with heat over the years. A weak return spring leaves the shoe dragging on the drum, which overheats the new lining and wastes the part. Ask for the matching hardware kit when you order shoes.
